Berat

Berat is a city on the Osum River, in central Albania. It is known for its white Ottoman houses. Berat Castle sits on a hilltop, it is an ancient hamlet now inhabited by townspeople. Within its walls are Byzantine churches, the Red Mosque and the Onufri National Museum, displaying Christian icons. EAST is the Ethnographic Museum housed in an 18th-century home, displaying traditional crafts and part of a reconstructed medieval bazaar.
