Tomorrow marks the second time Albania will be privileged to welcome a pope, Pope Francis will visit Tirana tomorrow, Sunday September 21. One of the reasons for the Pope’s visit is to celebrate Albania’s strong tradition of inter-faith and inter-religious harmony—a tradition that many have described as a model for the rest of the world. The first papal visit after the fall of communism was made by Pope St. John Paul II in 1993. Over half a million followers from all over the world are expected to attend tomorrow’s events.
